In June, CDIC joins Indigenous Peoples to celebrate National Indigenous History Month. It's a time to recognize the rich history, heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
CDIC is committed to its path of Reconciliation and is proud of our ongoing efforts to support Indigenous businesses. We worked with Design de Plume, an Indigenous and women-owned creative agency, to create a land acknowledgement in our office. Anishinabe Printing, an Aboriginal firm located in the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg Algonquin Community, created the plaques. We are also proud to support Indigenous Box, an Indigenous-woman-owned company dedicated to showcasing the excellence and diversity of Indigenous-made products.
With a goal of making deposit protection information clear and accessible for all, we translated our abbreviated brochure to Inuktitut: https://www.cdic.ca/depositors/whats-covered/
We are committed to renewing our relationship with Indigenous People and to taking meaningful action to contribute to Reconciliation. Learn more: https://www.cdic.ca/about/corporate-reporting-disclosure/environmental-social-and-governance-strategy/social-pillar/
