On 17th June, 2026, HE Carolyne Kamende Daudi received Mr. Kumaran Nadesan, the Group Chief Executive Officer of 369 Global at the Mission.

369 Global is a Canadian workforce development organization focused on building innovative pathways that connect skilled talent to economic opportunity and it recently launched a new policy initiative, Global Skilling Centres, which explores how international partnerships in technical and vocational education can address workforce needs while creating meaningful opportunities for learners in emerging economies.

The discussion explored opportunities for collaboration across areas of mutual interest in line with Kenya's national development priorities.

At the invitation of the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada (CDF), HE Carolyne Kamende Daudi attended the graduation ceremony of its Women's Mentorship Program(WMP) held at the University of Ottawa today.

Since 2002, the WMP has brought emerging women leaders from credit unions and financial co-operatives across Africa and Asia to Canada for an intensive leadership and Mentorship experience. The Program is supported by the Canadian credit unions, Global Affairs Canada (GAC), volunteers, and host communities. Amb. Kamende was particularly honoured to witness the graduation of 10 women leaders from Kenya.

Today, HE Carolyne Kamende Daudi joined members of the Women Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Ottawa (WHDMO) in an event organized by WHDMO in collaboration with Gowling WLG to mark the International Day of Women in Diplomacy.

Representing all 32 women Ambassadors in Ottawa, WHDMO serves as a collective voice for advancing collaboration and elevating the role of women in diplomacy.

The keynote address, aligned with this year's theme, " Leadership Equality, Advancement and the pursuit of peace", was delivered by Honourable Raymonde Gagnė, the Speaker of the Senate of Canada.

Through engaging roundtable discussions, the event explored the broader impact of women's leadership in Diplomacy- highlighting their role in advancing equality, shaping global conversations and promoting peace. The forum also reflected on the growing influence of women leaders across international, economic and social spheres.

Today H.E Carolyne Kamende Daudi joined members of the Diplomatic Corps, Parliamentarians (CAAF) and other distinguished guests in two events organized jointly by Canada-Africa Parliamentary Association and the African Group of Ambassadors to celebrate the Africa Day 2026 in Ottawa.

The panel discussions centered around strengthening of partnerships between African countries and Canada and the pathways for the implementation of the Canada's Africa Strategy that was launched in March,2025. The Strategy is a new foreign policy that represents a strengthening of Canada’s engagement with Africa, toward greater economic cooperation, strengthened peace and security partnerships, enhanced engagement of African diaspora communities in Canada, and international assistance that supports economic development and youth employment. These strategic areas are aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

The evening reception was graced by Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
