🍽️ Celebrating Our St. Johns Kitchen Brigades Journey! 👏
What an incredible journey it has been for our Culinary Workshop students this year—what a way to showcase passion, creativity, and teamwork!
Since the beginning (and even for some who joined mid-year), our students have been building their skills through hands-on workshops. A couple of weeks ago, we wrapped up the program on a high note—with a delicious and healthy poutine prepared by our students! 🧀🥔
Throughout the year, students shared many memorable moments. They ended 2025 with a festive holiday meal and returned in the new year ready for new culinary challenges. One of their most meaningful projects was preparing nearly 200 servings of homemade soup, generously donated to St. Vincent de Paul—an inspiring act of community support and compassion. ❤️
They also explored global cuisine during a vibrant multicultural fair, where teams presented dishes and décor inspired by countries around the world. Judges evaluated their work on presentation, taste, teamwork, and communication—an impressive showcase of talent!
As a final step, students took on a high-pressure culinary challenge, creating original dishes in just 60 minutes using surprise ingredients. Their collaboration and creativity were outstanding.
From this challenge, five students were selected to represent St. Johns:
👩🍳 Olivia Leclerc
👨🍳 Kellyan Gosselin
👨🍳 Jason Dufresne
👨🍳 Eliott Barras
👩🍳 Abigail Daunais
On April 7th, they competed against three other schools and earned an incredible 2nd place in their very first competition! 🎉
While the next stages—including the National Final in Montreal on June 7, 2026, hosted by Ricardo Larrivée, and the International Final in Paris—were just out of reach this time, this achievement remains a huge accomplishment and an unforgettable experience for our students.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, judges, and supporters who made this experience possible. Your dedication truly made a difference.
👏 Congratulations to all our participants! Your perseverance, teamwork, and generosity—especially your contributions to the community—have made St. Johns incredibly proud.
