What a day at GlobalMedic on Saturday, May 23!
Late that morning, the rain rolled in and refused to quit — but did that stop our amazing volunteers? Absolutely not! It may have slowed us down a little, but nothing could dampen our spirits.
A total of 25 incredible volunteers showed Mother Nature who’s boss and basically said:
“Rain, rain, go away… we’ve got meals to pack today!” ☔📦
Shoutout to our awesome teams:
✨Aktion — 6 volunteers strong
✨Kiwanis Club of Toronto — 4 dedicated volunteers
✨Kiwanis Club of Toronto Caribbean — 9 members, 3 prospective members, and 3 wonderful friends
Together, we packed approximately 230 boxes of rice, with 16 bags in each box — that’s an incredible 2,414 lbs of food prepared to help families in need! 👏🏾🍚What an amazing accomplishment and a true example of teamwork, heart, and community spirit.
Huge kudos and THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made a difference on Saturday! ❤
