Carbon-14 is a rare isotope used in the life-sciences sector that the world relies on and one that’s been in short supply.

Ontario is stepping up with a made-in-Ontario solution. CANDU reactors at Ontario Power Generation naturally produce Carbon-14 during regular operations and a new innovative system will extract it from safely stored facilities.
