CG Davis had the honour of signing the Book of Condolence opened at the Consulate General of Jamaica at Toronto in memory of former Cabinet Minister, Senator and Member of Parliament, the late Leslie Roy Campbell.
Mr. Campbell dedicated his life to public service and national development, serving Jamaica with distinction in several capacities, including as State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade with responsibility for Diaspora Affairs. His commitment to strengthening Jamaicaβs relationship with its diaspora and advancing meaningful engagement with Jamaicans overseas leaves a lasting legacy.
Many in the Jamaican diaspora will remember his commitment to ensuring that Jamaicans overseas remained connected to and engaged with the development of their homeland. His contributions to public life and diaspora affairs leave an enduring legacy.
On behalf of the Consulate General and the Jamaican community across the GTHA, I extend sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who mourn his passing.
May his soul rest in peace.
