Last Thursday, we celebrated an unforgettable Bar Mitzvah with a remarkable group of boys who have spent the past 10 weeks learning, growing, connecting, and preparing for this special day.
They wrapped tefillin, were called up to the Torah, and celebrated alongside their families, the Chai Lifeline and Penina's Helping Hand community.
For boys who have experienced the loss of a parent, this program offers so much more than Bar Mitzvah preparation - it offers guidance, community, support, and the reminder that even through life’s hardest challenges, they never have to walk alone.
Watching each boy stand proudly as a Bar Mitzvah was a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and hope that define this incredible group.
Mazal tov to all of our Bar Mitzvah boys! We are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished, and we can’t wait to see all that lies ahead.
A heartfelt thank you to Penina's Helping Hand, Sruli Portowitz, Josh Reis, Rabbi Taylor, and everyone who helped make this meaningful program possible. Your dedication has helped create memories, connections, and support that will last far beyond this special day. 💙

81 therapy sessions this month through the Chai Care Clinic💚
Behind every number is a child or family receiving the support they need in a way that works best for them. From play therapy that helps children express big emotions, to art therapy that creates space for healing and self-expression, to traditional talk therapy that provides guidance, coping tools, and support, each session is an important step forward.
Because no child or family should have to navigate serious illness alone.
