The Village is a museum in #Toronto where you can experience authentic 19th century life. Owned and operated by trca.ca.

Black Creek Pioneer Village is more than a collection of buildings and artifacts. Here, you will become immersed in the lifestyles, customs, and surroundings of early residents who built the foundations for modern Toronto and Ontario at the typical crossroads community village found in the Toronto area during the 1800's.

The Samuel Stong House, better known around The Village as Sam's House, dates to the 1850s and was originally located on the northeast corner of Jane and Steeles. Swipe through to see Sam's in its earlier days!

This house is currently used as an educational building, where students get hands on with heritage baking and other trades, and it has been ever since the early 1960s when it was moved to the Village. In the summer months, it becomes home to our summer camp, continuing in a long tradition of interactive learning and fun.
