Strong communities are built by people who choose to invest in others year after year.
This week, Wellspring board member Menan Rasanayagam was recognized with the Canada Strong Medal by MP Shaun Chen.
The occasion was made even more meaningful by the presence of Alvin Curling, whose historic career included becoming Ontario’s first Black cabinet minister and later the first Black Speaker of the Ontario Legislature. His leadership helped pave the way for generations of public servants and community leaders.
At The Wellspring Network, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to belong, contribute, and participate fully in community life. For years, Menan has invested his time and energy into strengthening communities, advancing inclusion, and creating opportunities for others.

Calm isn’t something everyone has access to.
We’re working to change that.
Join us May 30 for an evening of dinner, music, and purpose helping bring multi sensory spaces into public places where they’re needed most.
