that wetlands help protect our communities from flooding, are natural water filters and provide homes to a wide range of animals and plants? 🦆💧
To help keep these multiuse areas going strong, Ontario is investing $3.1 million in projects led by Ducks Unlimited Canada. This funding is part of the additional $9.6 million the government is investing through the Wetlands Conservation Partner Program this year.
These projects by DUC will enhance and restore almost 136 acres of critical wetland habitat, increasing biodiversity and climate resilience in the Great Lakes and surrounding areas.
