This Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity that makes our communities stronger and the right of every person to be seen, valued and respected for who they truly are ππ
At MFRC, we believe that everyone deserves to feel a sense of belonging and to live freely in spaces that are safe and inclusive. Pride Month is a time to honour the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, celebrate the many identities that enrich our
communities and reflect on the role we all play in creating a more equitable future.
Being an ally means listening, learning, speaking up and helping build spaces where everyone can thrive.
This June and every month, we celebrate the freedom to be ourselves.

The pressure to always be βokayβ is something many youth carry quietly.
In our latest article, our Youth Mental Health Coordinator reflects on recent sessions with high school students about comparison, confidence, gratitude, and self-worth in todayβs online world.
It is a powerful reminder that young people need spaces where they can speak honestly, feel supported, and remember that their worth is not defined by social media, appearance, or achievements.

A beautiful celebration of care, connection and community π
Our Motherβs Day celebration at MFRC brought people together around shared meals, movement, painting, henna, and creative activities. It was a warm evening filled with laughter and moments of joy.
More than anything, it was a chance to celebrate mothers and caregivers in our community.
These moments remind us that community is built in simple, meaningful ways - around a table, in spaces where people feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated π
