Please be advised that as of today, Saturday, November 8, 2025 the Wedgeport & District Fire Department will be reducing the days for shower use for the public. The new schedule is as follows. Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Sundays, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Thank you! Steve Jacquard, Fire Chief.

🚿 Shower Access for Residents Experiencing Water Shortages 💧

The Municipality of Argyle continues to support residents facing water shortages by providing access to public shower facilities at the following locations:

🚒 Wedgeport Fire Hall (beginning tonight - Thursday, October 23)
📍 90 Black Pond Road, Wedgeport
🕠 Open 7 days a week
🕢 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. daily

🚒 Eel Brook Fire Department (opening to the public Tuesday, October 28)
📍 73 Eel Lake Rd, Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau
🕡 Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays – 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

🏊 Mariners on Main – 275 Main St, Yarmouth
🕕 Monday – Friday: 6 a.m.–9 p.m.
🕖 Saturday – Sunday: 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
♿ A few accessible showers are available at this location.

⚠️ Please note:
◾Showers at the Wedgeport and Eel Brook Fire Halls are not wheelchair accessible.
◾No pets are permitted within any of the facilities.

Notice for attending Fire Service Funeral Procession for Retired Platoon Chief Lynn Seeley.

All fire service delegates attending the service on Wednesday April 9 are asked to gather at the Yarmouth Fire Station (221 Pleasant Street, Yarmouth, NS) prepared to march in honor of Platoon Chief Lynn Seeley. We will depart the station at 9:30 AM sharp for an 11-minute walk to Beacon Church.

Please arrive on time and in dress uniform or at minimum station wear as a sign of respect and solidarity.
If you dont have a dress uniform or station wear, you are welcome to head straight to Beacon Church.

Following the service, all are invited back to the Yarmouth Fire Station for refreshments and camaraderie as we gather to remember and celebrate the life of Platoon Chief Seeley.

Let us come together to honor a dedicated firefighter and leader who served our community with courage and commitment.
