Good morning from Berlin! Since June 15, the city has a new S-Bahn train line, the S15. It runs between Berlin Central Station and Gesundbrunnen, stopping at Wedding station. The line is to be extended further south in stages, via Potsdamer Platz and Yorckstraße to Südkreuz. That might take a while, though — just this first construction phase took 26 years.

Good evening from the Elefantentor (Elephant Gate), one of the entrances of the Berlin Zoo. Built between 1983 and 1984 in an East Asian style, the gate is a reconstruction. The original structure, dating from 1899, was destroyed during World War II.
