At the UfM Digital Transformation Conference in Tallinn in 2019, several countries expressed interest in learning from Estonia’s e-government experience. What followed was a concrete example of peer learning: Estonian officials travelled to Algeria, Palestine and Mauritania, with support from GIZ and facilitation by the UfM.
Starting tomorrow, the 5th UfM Digital Transformation Conference: Digital Skills and e-Governance Solutions will take place in Antalya, Türkiye, focusing on digital skills and e-governance solutions that can be replicated and scaled across the region.

The Mediterranean is one of the world’s most vulnerable regions to disasters, from wildfires and floods to earthquakes.
As these risks grow, so does the need for stronger cooperation.
The UfM has adopted the 2030 Action Plan on Civil Protection and Disaster Risk Management, a regional roadmap to help countries work together to better prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters.
The plan focuses on five key areas:
👉🏿Raising awareness and encouraging volunteer engagement
👉🏾Strengthening preparedness and early warning systems
👉🏽Improving cross-border disaster response
👉🏼Reinforcing coordination and partnerships
👉🏻Learning and adapting through continuous evaluation
Swipe through the carousel to explore how these priorities translate into action.
