RAIN SYSTEM MOVES AWAY AS COOLER WINDS SET IN ACROSS FIJI
The rain bands that brought rainfall across Fiji on Monday have now moved away from the group. As indicated in the satellite image below, the main area of cloud and rain has shifted eastwards.
With the main rain-producing clouds moving away, generally fine conditions are expected to prevail across Fiji, with only brief isolated showers passing through from time to time.
These passing showers are associated with the Low Pressure System marked by “X” on the satellite image. This same system was also responsible for the increase in winds experienced over parts of the Western Division last night. For those wondering if another system was approaching — WORRY NAHI, this system is also moving away.
Looking ahead, southerly winds will gradually become more dominant, bringing cooler air across the country. Cabe mai na cagi mai na ceva, lutu tale mai na batabata.
As we continue through our normal cooler season, communities are encouraged to stay warm and take care, especially during the cooler mornings and nights.
