🇫🇷 On 18 June 1940, General de Gaulle broadcast his appeal rallying the French Resistance.
86 years later, France commemorates this founding act and honours all those who fought for our freedom.

Yesterday in Paris, Israeli and Palestinian civil society representatives gathered at the Arab World Institute Institut du monde arabe for a working day aimed at jointly promoting the Paris Call for a two-state solution.

Ministers from 🇦🇩🇧🇪🇧🇷🇨🇦 🇮🇸🇱🇺🇲🇨🇪🇺 and 400 participants came together with a shared goal : to take concrete steps towards peace in the region and to call on the international community to act.

This appeal highlighted the importance of a shared political vision for Israelis and Palestinians in order to achieve regional security and integration.
We must not slacken our efforts.

Whilst the situation on the ground is once again at a standstill, France will continue to do everything in its power to support solutions by reviving efforts and placing civil society at the heart of this process.

“The Paris Appeal you are launching today is guided by the fate of the men and women of your two peoples. It is in no way driven by political or economic interests. What you have placed at the heart of your recommendations is, first and foremost, the human being.”
