Expect a fully stocked bar featuring a range of locally brewed favourites from MASH Tap House @ Conwy Brewery from crisp golden bitters to smooth nitro stouts, all served within the incredible surroundings of Gwrych Castle.

Pair an ice cold pint with authentic Jamaican flavours from Cegin Cabrini, soak up the sunshine, and settle in for a full day of reggae, dub, roots and bass culture.

In August 1975, Gwrych Castle welcomed the famous Sealed Knot Society for what was billed as “The Siege of Gwrych Castle” – a spectacular Civil War re-enactment staged across the castle grounds.

Held over the Bank Holiday weekend of 23rd and 24th August, the event saw hundreds of Cavaliers and Roundheads descend upon Gwrych, with artillery, musketeers, pikemen, cavalry and dramatic battle scenes recreating a seventeenth-century siege beneath the castle’s towers. Evening floodlit displays, fireworks and a grand parade made it one of the most ambitious events ever held at the castle.

The original programme proudly described it as the Sealed Knot’s first visit to Wales, drawing visitors from across the country to witness history brought to life in the grounds of Gwrych Castle.

More than fifty years later, the spirit of those historic events lives on.
