There is no silver bullet but help us understand what your thoughts are.

🇬🇧 Today, we recognise and celebrate the dedication of the UK’s Reserve Forces.

Reservists balance military service alongside civilian careers, family life and community commitments, bringing valuable skills, experience and resilience wherever they serve.

At Veterans’ Foundation, we’re proud to back organisations that support serving personnel, veterans and their families across the UK. Today is an opportunity to thank all Reservists for the contribution they make to our Armed Forces and the communities around them.

Thank you for your service.

An historical day for the Royal Logistic Corps Institution (RLCi) and the Chartered Institution of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK) as the RLC Corps Colonel, Colonel Jacqueline Powell ADC and CILT CEO Mrs Helen Hardy sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

This MOU will strengthen professional recognition, learning pathways, and mutual engagement between the Defence logistics community and the wider logistics and transport profession. Together, both parties aim to promote professional standards, lifelong learning, and knowledge exchange that benefit individual members and the Royal Logistics Corps.

A huge thanks goes to those who made this all possible:
Warrant Officer Class 2 Danny Maxwell RLC
Warrant Officer Class 2 Rob Collins RLC
Mr Shaun Fardy, Director of Professional Development and Standards CILT
Mr Paul Salmon, Chair of the Member Representative Group

RAF WITTERING CAPABILITY DEMONSTRATION - TUESDAY 9 JUNE 2026

On 9 Jun the RLC Institution visited RAF Wittering for a Capability Demonstration. The visit was kindly hosted by Support Force Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander at RAF Wittering. We were treated to a comprehensive insight into Support Force capabilities, which gave an overview of their role as a key unit, within Global Enablement and the Royal Air Force and it's contribution to the wider Defence community. The visit showcased the Support Force's operational capabilities, equipment, and the diverse functions it supports. We were briefed on the Force's roles, capabilities and readiness and how they contribute to the Air environment and Defence as a whole.

The day concluded with a visit to the Heritage Centre and it's main focus was on the history of the Harrier an iconic aircraft from bygone years of which they had 4 variants on display.

Overall this was an excellent visit and we are grateful to RAF Wittering for showcasing their Logistic capabilities against the backdrop of their very busy workload.
