πŸ† Army Squash South-West Tour 2026 πŸ†
πŸ“ Bristol & Bath | πŸ“… 26–29 May

Army Squash took to the South-West for a fantastic few days of competitive squash, team bonding, and building relationships with local clubs. Our aim? To test ourselves against strong civilian opposition and strengthen connections to make this an annual tour. βœ…

🏠 Accommodation
We stayed at The Coal Shed Hostel – a brilliant base with great facilities (pool table, table tennis, kitchen & honesty bar). Comfortable 3-person en-suite rooms made it the perfect team hub. Highly recommended for future tours!

πŸ’ͺ Training Base
Workout Harbourside Squash Club provided an outstanding training venue with 4 glass-back courts. We even caught some of the world’s best in action, including Mo & Marwan ElShorbagy, Olivia Weaver, and more – an incredible experience for the team! πŸ‘

πŸ†š Match Results
Army Select vs Workout Harbourside (Tue 26 May)
Result: ❌ 2–5 Loss
πŸ”₯ Player of the Match: Andrew Taylor – a clinical performance against a tough opponent.

Army Select vs Lansdown Squash Club (Thu 28 May)
Result: ❌ 2–4 Loss

🌟 Player of the Match: Elaine Radcliffe – an outstanding performance against a county player after a long 3-hour journey each way!

A special mention to those who made the most of the facilities off court too, with an early warm-up on Lansdown’s beautiful tennis courts in the summer sunshine β˜€οΈπŸŽΎ – perfect preparation for the matches ahead!

A huge thank you to our hosts John Welton (Workout Harbourside) and Andy Yewings (Lansdown) for their warm welcome and competitive fixtures. We look forward to building on these relationships and returning next year even stronger πŸ’ͺ
