Alvechurch Library is part of the Worcestershire Libraries & Learning Service. It is located adjacent to the Crown Meadow within the grounds of Alvechurch Middle School. The library caters to all age groups, boasting a wonderful children's section with bright seating and books to support a child's key stages of development including board books for babies, picture books, easy readers and chapter b

On Friday 26th June at 11am we have a special visitor to our Gardening Club, Gordon will be popping along to show us how to propagate succulents. You can even have a go yourself.
No need to book, just turn up, plus we have lots of gardening books too.

The Summer Reading Challenge launches on Saturday 4 July and we can't wait to welcome young readers back to the library.

This year's exciting theme is Read to the Beat, bringing together books, imagination, music and creativity.

Using original visual theatre techniques and ingenious physical performance, The Librarians brings together the wonderfully quirky characters Miss Book and Mr Page in a bilingual performance for Deaf and hearing audiences aged 4-9, in BSL and spoken English, creating a storytelling experience everyone can enjoy together.

This free family theatre show and workshop takes place tomorrow, Saturday 13th June, at 11am in Alvechurch Library. To reserve a space, message us on Facebook or call in and speak to a member of staff.

Join us this Saturday, 13th June, for a morning of laughter, imagination and bookish magic with The Librarians.
Enjoy a magical family theatre show that blends British Sign Language and spoken English, creating a storytelling experience everyone can enjoy together, and a workshop where children can create and share their own stories with the hilarious Librarians characters.

As part of Dementia Awareness Week, Redditch Library is hosting a free health and wellbeing fayre this Friday, 22nd May, from 10am to 12.30pm.
There will be a couple of talks, old newspapers and photographs to browse, and some local support agencies to talk to.

Redditch library hosts a number of Health & Wellbeing organisations with free talks at 11am- Scam Awareness and 12 noon, Dementia Awareness. Pick up your free resistance band and workout leaflet (while stocks last), take a trip down memory lane and borrow for free (with your library membership) a Memories & Me bag full of nostalgia to enjoy with friends and family. Meet support agencies in your area. Refreshments available for small donation. All welcome
