Different types of fostering, one shared goal! 💛

Fostering isn’t one-size-fits-all. At ACS, there are different types of fostering available to help meet the individual needs of children and young people; from short-term and long-term care to emergency and parent & child placements.

No matter the type of fostering, every role helps provide children with stability, care and the chance to thrive in a safe and supportive home.

For Mental Health Awareness Week, the theme “Action” encouraged us to take positive steps to support both our own mental health and the wellbeing of others.
On 17th May, foster families and staff from across the Midlands came together for a sponsored walk, an activity chosen to reflect the well-known benefits that physical activity and time spent in nature can have on our emotional wellbeing. Our walk brought people together, promoted wellbeing, and helped raise funds for YoungMinds, a UK charity dedicated to supporting the mental health of children, young people, and those who care for them perfectly aligning with our goal to support foster families and improve young lives.

✨ We’re proud to share that ACS Midlands raised £280 for YoungMinds! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, shared the link, and donated, your support truly makes a difference! 💙
