We’re absolutely thrilled to invite local organisations, businesses, clubs, schools, community groups and residents to take part in this year’s Keighley Gala Parade on Saturday 8th August! 🌟

One of the biggest highlights of Keighley’s community calendar is back — and we’d love to see your creativity on display! Whether you’re planning a colourful vehicle float 🚗✨ or a fun and vibrant walking group 🚶‍♀️🎭, now’s your chance to get involved.

📍 Starting point: High Street Roundabout
🕥 Time: 10:30am
➡️ The parade will travel down North Street and finish at the Gala Field in Cliffe Castle.

Please note:
• Organisations, businesses, clubs, schools, community groups and vehicle/float entries must provide Public Liability Insurance and a suitable risk assessment.
• Individual participants may be asked for additional safety information depending on their entry.

After applications close, we’ll send a short follow-up form with more detailed questions based on whether you’re entering a vehicle or walking float.

Did you know that literacy changes everything? The National Literacy Trust is looking for enthusiastic local volunteers to help inspire a love of stories across Bradford

💬 You don’t need to be an expert – just someone who believes literacy matters and wants to make a difference! Our Literacy Champions come from all walks of life, including parents, drivers, nurses, youth workers and more.

✨ As a volunteer, you could:
• Help run community bookshelves
• Support Bradford Stories Bus events
• Lead storytelling sessions or creative activities
• Share books and spark imagination in your community

Are you aged 16–25 and interested in photography? Join us for a series of 3 FREE eco photography workshops at Damems Nature Reserve and Photo Hub North, Keighley.

Learn new skills, experiment with creative techniques, and explore nature through your lens. You’ll even have the chance to try DSLR cameras and create unique prints using the cyanotype process using sunlight and river water! ☀️🌊
