Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) supports voluntary, community and faith activity in Sefton We work with all sections of the VCF sector in Sefton.

Sefton CVS is an infrastructure body providing a comprehensive range of support and development services to frontline VCF groups. CVS promotes and advocates the active engagement of the VCF sector by facilitating networks, providing commentary and participation in national regional and local policy, and acting as the conduit between the sector and statutory partners and other public organisations.

Come along to our Sefton Community Lottery Good Cause Launch Event and discover how your organisation can benefit from the Sefton Community Lottery, a simple, sustainable fundraising platform powered by Gatherwell, that will directly support local VCF sector organisations and community initiatives across Sefton.

Our Good Cause Launch Event is an opportunity for your organisation to learn more about;
- How the Sefton Community Lottery works
- How your organisation can become a registered Good Cause
- How supporters can raise funds for you just by playing the lottery
- Tips to promote your cause and maximise ticket sales

The Sefton Community Lottery is a new, exciting initiative for Sefton run in partnership between Sefton CVS and Gatherwell, an established and award-winning ethical External Lottery Manager.

Designed to support local good causes, the community lottery provides organisations with a free and easy way to raise money, while encouraging residents to support projects that matter to them. 60% of each ticket sale, goes directly to local causes, helping strengthen communities across Sefton. Supporters benefit from a weekly lottery draw, with tickets costing £1 and a chance to win up to £25,000!

Living Well Sefton is excited to be attending the Bootle Intenational Festival alongside partners from Sefton Council for Voluntary Service - CVS and the VCF sector. A great day of entertainment and education to bring our community together.

Today we hosted our first Southport Youth Work Community of Practice network event in partnership with at Southport Football Club. 

Southport Voluntary Sector organisations attended the event, hearing presentations including; more on the NYA National Youth Strategy, the draft Youth Offer Outcomes Framework for Sefton, Youth Focus North West’s training offer and Sefton Council’s HAF programme next steps. Attendees also took part in a workshop to capture insights into the networks next steps. 

This is only the start of the journey as we develop the network! If you’re a VCF sector organisation working with young people in Southport you can get in touch with us to find out more.

Hospital Discharge and Admission Avoidance Service Support Worker
Salary: £26,484 per annum �Hours: 35 hours per week

ℹ️ Our Hospital Discharge Service, provide free, practical, common-sense support for up to six weeks for Sefton residents following discharge from a hospital setting or treatment from any other health establishment.

Come join us to on Social Prescribing Day on 26th March 2026.
Did you know that if you are registered with a Southport or Formby GP practice then you have access to the support from a Social Prescribing Link Worker?
Our Link Workers will spend time getting to find out what matters to you and help you identify some goals to support your non-medical health and well-being. We can then link you to the right groups and services to help you achieve your goals.
