A musical performance will take place within the Great Hall on Friday's throughout the Minton Tile Reveal, featuring a blend of traditional and contemporary artists. A special organ recital by candlelight will illuminate the Minton Tiles, creating a striking setting for this unique performance.

🎨 Meet the artists behind Paint the Tiles with Pinot & Picasso Liverpool

The Baltic Triangle studio which opened its doors in November 2023, has quickly become part of the city’s creative scene, and we’re thrilled to have them join this year’s Minton Tiles Reveal programme.

Today, we’re introducing Amelia‑Rose Penny.

Favourite piece of art:
“I don't really have a favourite artwork but my favourite gallery is the 1853 Gallery in Salts Mill, Saltaire, Yorkshire. It's full of David Hockney's sketches, drawings and paintings and the building is just a piece of art in itself.”

🏛️ What she loves most about the Minton Tiles
“The craftsmanship behind them. The thought that someone designed and handcrafted each tile to create such a beautiful piece of art fascinates me. As AI use grows, I find myself concerned about creativity being stunted. Keeping projects like the Minton Tile Reveal alive is so valuable because it reminds people what pure, raw creativity can achieve.”

This is a rare chance to walk across the breathtaking Minton tiles, usually hidden beneath a protective wooden covering and has only ever been on public display a handful of times!

Wearing our special protective shoe covers, walk across this magnificent mosaic, as your expert Tour Guide brings the Liver Birds, Roman gods, sea nymphs and tridents to life, in vivid detail.
