Look after yourself and check in on others, esp older relatives, neighbours and anyone with a health condition. Keep your home cool, close curtains and windows on the sunny side. Drink plenty of water, stay out of the sun 11am–3pm. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
A red heat-health alert has been issued across parts of England until 25 June. This is the highest level of alert and indicates a risk to everyone's health, not just vulnerable groups.
