💊 Check what medicines you have before you order more.
Unused medicines can put patient safety at risk, cost the NHS money and add to environmental harm. Across the NHS, medicines waste costs at least £300 million a year, and throwing medicines away or flushing them can pollute the environment.
Before ordering your repeat prescription, please:
✔ Check what you already have at home
✔ Only order what you need
✔ Return unused or out-of-date medicines to your pharmacy for safe disposal
Small actions can make a big difference and help keep medicines available for those who need them.

If you're experiencing loneliness, your GP practice may be able to help.
Social prescribers are part of your practice team and can help connect you with local groups, activities and services that can help you build confidence, make connections and feel more involved in your community.
They can also support people who are struggling with housing concerns, accessing local services, or other non-medical issues that may be affecting their wellbeing.

☀️ Summer is for spending time with the people you love, and it’s also a good time to think about protecting them.
RSV can circulate at any time of year, and, for older adults, it can lead to serious illness such as pneumonia.
The NHS offers a free RSV vaccine to people aged 75 and over and those living in care homes for older adults.
If you or someone you care about is eligible, getting vaccinated can help reduce the risk of serious illness and bring peace of mind over the summer.
📞 Contact your GP surgery to book your RSV vaccination - you don’t need to wait for an invitation.

Unsure what vaccines you can have while pregnant?
The decision about whether to get vaccinated during pregnancy is yours and it’s natural to have questions or concerns about whether it’s right for you.
During pregnancy, your immune system is naturally weaker than usual. This means you are more likely to have certain infections and illnesses that can be harmful to you and your developing baby.
That’s why there’s some vaccines that are recommended during pregnancy:
✅ Flu (during flu season)
✅ RSV
✅ Whooping cough
These vaccines do not contain any live viruses and cannot give you or your baby the virus.
We want to give you the information you need to make the right decision for you and your family.
Speak to your GP or midwife if you have any concerns or questions.
