Quick reminder📢

If you spot nitrous oxide canisters on the street, please don’t put them in your recycling bin☣️

These items can’t be recycled at home and should be taken to a recycling centre for safe disposal♻️

Keeping the wrong items out of recycling helps protect our crews, sorting facilities, and keeps collections running smoothly🙏

In Lambeth, our diversity is our strength 🙌

We’re proud to be a borough of sanctuary and are committed to providing support and refuge to people seeking sanctuary from war and persecution ❤️

To celebrate our reaccreditation as a borough of sanctuary and World Refugee Week, we held a special event at Brockwell Hall on Wednesday. It was great to be joined by our wonderful sanctuary seekers who gave speeches sharing their powerful experiences 🎊

In our short video, Cllr Jeremy Isaacs, joint Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care, restates Lambeth’s commitment to supporting sanctuary seekers and has shared a clear message: ‘Sanctuary Seekers are welcome here’ 🫶

They picked up the ‘Patient Involvement and Choice Award’ 🏆

🎥 Watch a new short Lambeth Together film to see why it’s so valuable 👏

What a fantastic way to spend a warm summer Saturday at the Day of Portugal celebration in Stockwell!

Residents, families, local businesses and community groups came together on Wilcox Road to enjoy cultural performances from across the Portuguese-speaking world, music, food, creative activities and plenty of sunshine.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped create such a welcoming atmosphere. It was wonderful to see so many people celebrating the diverse Portuguese-speaking communities that form such an important part of our local community.

We hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed the celebrations. 🇵🇹❤️ 🌐 ☀️
