We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking. We believe that a walking nation means progress for everyone.

We want to create a walking nation, free from congested roads and pollution, reducing the risk of preventable illness and social isolation and making walking the natural choice. Our ambition is to get people of all generations to enjoy the benefits that this simple act brings and to ensure all our streets are fit for walking. For more than 85 years we’ve been a beacon for walking. In our early day

Air pollution affects everyone’s health. It’s linked to a range of health problems throughout our lives – from premature birth and childhood asthma to heart and lung disease, diabetes and strokes in later life.

We've put together a list of easy things you can do to help us campaign for walking and wheeling (or even scooting and cycling!) as we address the root cause of air pollution.
