Partnership Seminars 2026:
We are offering two funded seminars in the autumn to bring together professionals from the UK and Germany who are interested in establishing links with peer groups and developing exchange activities, with a focus on engaging disadvantaged young people.

For youth groups: Bonn, 17-19 September 2026
For schools: Bavaria, 26-29 November 2026

Participants will:
👉Engage in partner-finding with youth groups/schools in Germany
👉Network with peers from the UK and Germany
👉Hear from sector experts and get training on how to run successful partnership activities with impact
👉Take part in facilitated project-planning sessions and build their own skills and confidence

Application deadlines are 26 June (youth groups) and 15 July (schools)

Calling all UK teachers! Are you interested in linking with a school in Germany to enrich the wider curriculum in your school through bilateral engagement? Applications are now open for our funded partnership seminar.

This seminar will include:
- Partner-finding opportunities with schools in Germany
- Networking with 🇬🇧 and 🇩🇪 teachers of all curriculum areas
- Training on how to run successful partnerships with impact
- Facilitated project-planning
- Insights into the German education system through school visits

The seminar is open to UK schools (all sectors) and teachers (all subjects) with no active UK-German school partnership. No German language skills necessary.

Applications for the School Partnership Bursaries for autumn 2026 close on 26 June!

UK schools with a German partner can apply for bursaries to travel (full bursary) or host (reduced bursary). This bursary is open to primary, secondary, SEN schools and FE colleges with partnership activities taking place between 1 September and 31 December 2026.

Interested in linking with a youth organisation in Germany? Apply now for our funded Youth Partnership Seminar!

When? 17-19 September 2026
Where? Bonn, Germany

The seminar will include:
👉 Insights and guidance from UK and German youth experts on involving disadvantaged young people in youth exchange

The seminar is open to organisations that are actively engaged in the youth sector and with no UK-German partnership. German language skills not required.

Kicking Off Connections: funded football exchanges ⚽

Schools, colleges, youth groups and football clubs will have the chance to travel abroad as part of this grassroots sporting exchange aimed at supporting young people and providing opportunities to those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The “Kicking Off Connections” initiative forms part of the implementation of the Kensington Treaty and promotes intercultural understanding through peer-to-peer connections between young people.

Design your own football exchange to create new connections for young people from the UK and Germany. We’ll provide comprehensive support and guidance to reach your goals.
