Our teams have won the Sustainable Healthcare Award at the very first NHS Excellence Awards 🎉

This recognition celebrates the work of Dr Patrik Bächtiger and the team at Charing Cross Hospital who have introduced AcuPebble – an innovative, AI-enabled wearable sensor transforming how sleep apnoea is diagnosed.

By allowing patients to test safely from home, AcuPebble is:

🔹 Reducing waiting times
🔹 Cutting plastic waste by 99%
🔹 Saving an estimated 12.6 tonnes of CO₂ each year
🔹 Replacing technologies shown to produce racially biased results

Funded through Imperial Health Charity's Innovate at Imperial programme, this innovation is making a real difference to patients and the planet.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved 👏
