H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, delivered a keynote address at the 3rd International Conference on African Development (iCAD 2026) held at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
She highlighted the importance of green transitions, inclusive industrialisation, research-driven policy, and stronger collaboration between academia, industry, government and the diaspora to advance Africa’s sustainable development agenda.
The High Commissioner reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to partnerships that translate ideas into practical solutions for shared prosperity and long-term growth.

On 13th June 2026, H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ireland, delivered the Keynote Address at The Bold New Normal Conference UK 2026.
Addressing an audience of African professionals, business leaders, investors and members of the diaspora, the High Commissioner highlighted the critical role of the African diaspora in driving investment, innovation and sustainable development, while underscoring the importance of stronger partnerships to advance Ghana’s development agenda and shared prosperity.

The delegation paid their respects to the High Commissioner and briefed her on their participation in the festival, which brings together choirs and choral enthusiasts from across the Commonwealth to celebrate music, culture, and artistic excellence.

H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, today received a delegation from Ghana’s agribusiness sector who are in the UK to participate in Cereals 2026, one of the leading technical events for arable farming and agricultural innovation.
The delegation, comprising representatives from agribusiness, food processing, poultry farming, media, and local government, engaged the High Commissioner on opportunities to expand the reach of Ghanaian products within the UK market and promote greater investment in modernised agriculture.
During the meeting, the delegation presented some of their products and sought the Mission’s support in facilitating access to international markets.
The High Commissioner highlighted the role of the Ghana Trade House as a platform to support Ghanaian exporters and entrepreneurs seeking entry into the UK market. She also encouraged the delegation to work closely with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) to enhance the international visibility and competitiveness of their products.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment to promoting Ghana’s agribusiness sector, strengthening exports, and advancing agricultural transformation through innovation and mechanisation.

H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, received a courtesy call from the leadership and members of the Ghana Bar Association and the British Ghanaian Lawyers Union ahead of the 9th Annual Ghana–UK Law Week, scheduled to take place in London from 8–12 June 2026.
During the meeting, the delegation formally invited the High Commissioner to participate in the event, including addressing the Law Society of England and Wales on Ghana’s Reset Agenda and investment opportunities, as well as serving as Special Guest of Honour at the British Ghanaian Lawyers Union Networking Dinner.
