A new film has been launched as part of the Best Start in Life campaign that shows how Gypsy, Roma and Traveller families are at the heart of how early years education is delivered in their community.

Filmed at Wolvey Primary and Nursery School and St Teresa's Catholic Primary School, it highlights what inclusive early years education looks like in practice — and what it means for children's confidence, friendships, and development.

This week is Refugee week.

This Simple Act is all about the power of food to bring people together. When we cook, share recipes, or sit down to eat side by side, we are participating in an act that transcends language, culture and circumstance. When we gather around a table to break bread together, care and nourishment become a thread that weave us together, dissolving boundaries and building community.
