A quarter peal was rung this warm evening by women from the local band, and may be the first women's quarter on the bells (tbc). Remarkable too are the number of milestones achieved.

We rang a quarter peal after the Patronal Festival Mass at St Dunstan-in-the-West having welcomed 40 visiting ringers to ring beforehand. St Dunstan is also the Patron Saint of Bellfounders, as illustrated in our stained glass.

Yesterday we welcomed some colleagues of one of our ringers to St Magnus for an insight into the world of change ringing.
Starting off with a presentation, the group climbed the tower and had a demonstration of ringing, then went up to see the bells in action, finishing off with the chance to have a go. Positive feedback received and all part of our efforts to highlight the world of ringing in the city.
This is now the third ringing experience we have run, and would be happy to consider coordinating similar visits for other groups.
