We must have answers to why the government is selectively choosing which platforms to turn off for children. In asking Mark Pritchard MP to speak on behalf of the constituency let us hope that he actually does. We must know who decides which platforms our children are allowed to see. Shropshire StarTelfordLive
Labour will let a 16-year-old vote for the next government but ban them from reading the news on YouTube.
To prove you're an adult, you'll now hand your face or your ID to a Government-mandated scanner.
Protecting children should never mean building a surveillance state. The real failures that hurt children in The Wrekin, happen because institutions don't act, not because we lack facial recognition.
So today I've written to our MP, Mark Pritchard, and asked him to put a straight question to the Government: who decides which platforms our children are allowed to see, why is X banned but Bluesky not, and where is the published criteria?

On behalf of The Wrekin Reform our deepest condolences go to the family of Henry Nowak. You have acted in the most dignified way in such tragic circumstances. The loss of your boy must now be used to force better practice from the police in the future.
For those unaware, at just 18, Henry was stabbed four times with a 21cm blade by a Sikh man. As he lay dying and clearly in distress, calling out that he'd been stabbed, struggling to breathe, the police handcuffed him because his killer cried racism first.
Why was he handcuffed? He wasn't resisting arrest; he was fighting for his life.
Kemi Badenoch has chosen to use her interviews today to attack Nigel Farage whilst trying to point score. Nigel gave the statement of a true leader, and this event is beyond point scoring. What we need is action from our government to ensure this doesn't happen again.
She says we mustn't get 'angry'. She says we mustn't be 'whipped up'. She's got it the wrong way round.
Anger is the right response after watching a dying teenager treated like a suspect. Nigel didn't manufacture it, Henry's death did. As always, Nigel refused to look away, but Kemi wants us to calm down and move on like nothing happened.
She says she's 'not taking sides' but went on to call it a 'Stephen Lawrence moment' and admit it could have been her own child. So, she knows. She just hasn't got the nerve to say it as plainly as Nigel did.
That's the difference. Like Nigel said today, this should be a country that treats everybody equally before the law. One rule for everybody. No favourites.
Henry Nowak deserved equal treatment. He didn't get it. This culture, created by our woke and often left-leaning institutions, needs to stop.
