⚠️ Temporary closure due to extreme heat
The One O’Clock Club and Adventure Playground after school club will be closed on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June following the Met Office red weather warning.
With limited shade and no air conditioning, this decision has been made to keep everyone safe.
We’ll reopen as normal on Friday 26 June.

⚠️A Red-Heat weather warning is in effect from 1am on 24 June to 11pm on 25 June, with temperatures expected to reach the high 30s.
You can read advice here on how to stay safe: https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/services/health-and-wellbeing/keeping-safe-in-all-weather-conditions/keeping-safe-in-hot-weather
Please do not swim in our non-lifeguarded Ponds - they are not safe and not lifeguarded.
Barbecues and fires are strictly prohibited — they can endanger visitors, wildlife, and the woodland itself. Ensure all cigarette butts are completely extinguished before disposal.
Please also dispose of rubbish responsibly. If bins are full, don’t add to the pile — take your rubbish home to help keep the Heath safe and clean. Let’s all do our part to protect this beautiful space. 💚

🚨Heatwave alert 🚨
As we head into another heatwave please remember swimming in non‑lifeguarded ponds is strictly prohibited. These ponds are vital homes for wildlife, and entering them harms fragile ecosystems. Swimming in these ponds is also dangerous due to waterborne illnesses, uneven depths and underwater hazards.
We’ve heard your concerns and share your commitment to protecting the Heath. In response, we’re increasing staff presence at busy times to guide visitors and prevent misuse.
We all have a role to play—this is wildlife’s home first.
Please:
🍃 Follow all signage for your safety and the environment
🍃 Respect our staff—abuse will not be tolerated
🍃 Keep online conversations respectful
🍃Take care of yourself and others

Wildlife Ponds Update:
During the last heatwave, the Heath experienced exceptionally high visitor numbers. This placed pressure on our team, safety, and wildlife.
Swimming in non-lifeguarded ponds is absolutely prohibited. These ponds are essential habitats for wildlife, and swimming in them is a direct threat to their wellbeing.
We have received a high volume of messages of concern, and see how many of you care for the protection of the Heath, as we do.
That is why we are hiring and placing additional staff at the wildlife ponds when busy times are anticipated, such as during heatwaves. They will be there to help educate visitors and prevent people from entering non-designated swimming ponds.
But we need your help. We are all visitors to the Heath; this green space is the wildlife's home first.
Please:
🍃Read and abide by the signs - they are there for your safety and the health of the environment.
🍃Listen and respect our team and security. Threats and abuse towards our staff will not be tolerated.
🍃Maintain a respectful online community for our team members that read your messages. We monitor all comments but can't reply to each one individually - we're often out on the Heath rather than at a desk.
If you see someone breaking our byelaws, contact Constabulary on 020 8340 5260.
If it is an emergency, ring 999.
