Her Excellency Karen-Mae Hill, High Commissioner of Antigua and Barbuda to the United Kingdom, participated as a panellist at the Marlborough House Dialogue, “Pathways to Democratic Resilience: A Commonwealth Conversation,” held on 18 June 2026 at Marlborough House, London.

The Dialogue was convened by the Commonwealth Secretariat in partnership with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Westminster Foundation for Democracy and the Commonwealth Local Government Forum, as part of the build-up to CHOGM 2026 in Antigua and Barbuda.

H.E. Hill joined fellow panellists Chris Elmore MP, Gail Teixeira MP, Professor Nnenna Ifeanyi-Ajufo and Councillor Kevin Bentley, in a discussion moderated by Stephen Twigg of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

In her remarks, H.E. Hill reflected on the importance of Commonwealth cooperation, dialogue and collective action in strengthening democratic resilience. She highlighted the value of election observer missions in promoting transparency and public confidence, the role of CMAG in helping uphold democracy, the rule of law and human rights, and the importance of continued dialogue ahead of CHOGM 2026 to support small states, share best practices and ensure democratic values translate into tangible improvements in people’s lives

Congratulations to Whylee O’Brien on an extraordinary achievement! 🇦🇬🥋

The young Antiguan has successfully earned his Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, marking the culmination of years of dedication, discipline, perseverance, and hard work.

Whylee is the great-grandson of the late Mary Henry, affectionately known to many as “Mem,” and the nephew of respected Antiguan writer William Henry.

It was a pleasure for High Commissioner Karen-Mae Hill to meet Whylee at the 9th Halo Wings of Charity Gala in London.

"Delighted to meet Whylee this evening at the 9th Halo Wings of Charity Gala in London. I look forward to learning more about his plans to share his talent and knowledge with Antigua and Barbuda."

Congratulations, Whylee, on this remarkable milestone. We wish you continued success on your journey and look forward to seeing the impact you will make both at home and abroad.

A major transformation is taking shape in Potters!

Members of the Potters Sports Field Redevelopment Committee recently welcomed principal donor Sir David Harrison on his third visit to the site, alongside Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne, who thanked him for his significant investment in the Potters community and Antigua & Barbuda.

Inspired by the vision of High Commissioner Karen-Mae Hill, the redeveloped complex will feature modern basketball, netball and volleyball courts, cricket and football facilities, a Little League baseball diamond, walking trail, children's play area, and a half-sized Olympic swimming pool.

Even more impactful, 80% of the project's workforce comes from Potters Village, ensuring jobs, skills development, and economic benefits remain within the community.

This is more than a sports facility—it's an investment in youth, health, opportunity, and the future of Potters. 💙💛

Insightful meeting with Dr. Jonas Moberg, Chair of the Green Hydrogen Organisation, Andrew H***e, Head of Fortescue Marine Systems and Green Shipping at Fortescue, and colleagues to discuss the decarbonisation of international shipping.

Antigua and Barbuda was pleased to welcome the Fortescue Green Pioneer to our shores in February—the world's first dual-fuel, ammonia-powered marine vessel. High Commissioner Karen-Mae Hill commended Fortescue, along with its Founder and Executive Chairman, Dr. Andrew Forrest, for investing in this groundbreaking technology and demonstrating that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand.

We look forward to continuing these important discussions and advancing partnerships that support a cleaner, more sustainable future, including at CHOGM 2026 in Antigua and Barbuda.

Through dialogue and partnership, we can continue building stronger connections and advancing shared values throughout the Commonwealth.

Thank you to Dr. David Jones, Chair of the Independent Forum of Commonwealth Organisations IFCO and the members of IFCO for a wide-ranging and meaningful discussion on the vital work of Commonwealth Accredited Organisations.

These 97 organisations represent the third pillar of the Commonwealth, supporting and amplifying the values, initiatives, and impact of the Commonwealth across our diverse family of nations. Through their work, they strengthen civil society and help improve the lives of people throughout the Commonwealth.

Antigua and Barbuda looks forward to welcoming representatives of these organisations to CHOGM 2026 this November as we continue to strengthen and accelerate these important partnerships.
