If you have room in your home to support a child, please don't let a or long-term health condition stop you from exploring .
There's a common assumption that are only looking for people with perfect physical health, but we want to break down that barrier. What truly matters is your ability to offer a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
In many cases, your lived experience of navigating challenges is a huge asset, giving you a deep sense of empathy that can help a foster child feel completely understood.
Have a read of our latest blog to find out how the process actually works.

The UK government announced today that they will go forward with restrictions on online features such as live streaming and strangers communicating with children.
Expected to be brought to Parliament before Christmas, protections are expected to come into force in Spring 2027.
The government plans to use the same model for a social media ban as Australia. This would capture user-to-user platforms, whose purpose is to enable social interaction and which allow users to post material, alongside algorithms. The ban will therefore include platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and X but not messaging services like WhatsApp and Signal.

You don't have to be heterosexual to be a foster carer. You don't even have to be in a relationship to support a young person in care.
LGBTQIA+ people are still unrepresented in the foster care. You can find out how to support change via the link in our bio.

Heading to the coast or out on the water is a great way to have fun and enjoy the outdoors. It's important to remember that water can be unpredictable and dangerous.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) have put together a handy guide for when you or a young person may be struggling in water. For more information, head to the RNLI website.

A study from Action for Children surveyed LGBTQIA+ people in the UK and found that one third believed they couldn't foster because of their sexuality.
Your sexuality has no bearing on your ability to support a young person in care. Find out how by sending us a message, or visit our website via the link in our bio.

Every day, children living in wars across the globe face unspeakable horrors.
They are not safe sleeping in their homes, playing outside, or learning in school. They are victims of abuse and violence, and are denied the humanitarian assistance that they desperately need.
We focus on empowering stories of children and unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors in care, but today is a reminder that many children across the world are still in need of stability and safety. The UN's campaign reminds us that children have rights, and that children want peace. It’s time to “Prove It Matters”.

We're celebrating Pride month in recognition of all the LGBTQIA+ carers and young people in care 🫶
The first Pride march took place in 1970 as a protest and a party. At a time when LGBTQIA+ rights are being challenged in many parts of the world, Pride remains very important.
Creating safe, inclusive and supportive homes means creating homes where young people, foster families and colleagues can be themselves. A great family can take many forms, and it's diversity and empathy that brings the fostering community together. Happy Pride!
