Trains depart Pitsford & Brampton Station at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Buffet open serving hot and cold food, drinks and snacks.

We continue the story of our line's preservation with this image of No.5374.

During the late 1990s and early 2000s the NLR was home to two operational polish TKH 0-6-0 locomotives, No.5374 ('Vanguard') and No. 7646 ('Northampton').

5374 moved on in 2016 and is now based at the Plym Valley Railway in Devon (and has been renamed 'Lord Oliver Brown'). 7646 returned to mainland Europe (Belgium) in 2006.

Steam, cheese and cider – a wonderful combination!

This year's Cheese & Cider Train is on Sunday 6th September. This popular experience brings together produce from local cheese, cider and beer makers in a real treat for the senses!

Indulge in some of Northamptonshire’s finest food and drink as you enjoy the comfort of First Class onboard a steam train.

Arrive and board our heritage carriages before you set off through the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.
