🛒 The McCarthy-Dixon Mobile Community Shop will be at Duston Community Centre tomorrow! 🛒

🗓 Friday 19th June
⏰ 12:30pm – 2:00pm
📍 Duston Community Centre, Pendle Road, NN5 6DT

The Mobile Community Shop helps bring affordable food and essentials into the local community.

Instead of each item having a price in pounds, everything is given a points value between 1 and 5.
You can buy:
• 9 points for £5
• 18 points for £10

Those points can then be exchanged for items in the shop, helping customers save around 50% on their weekly essentials compared to a typical supermarket shop.

There are also pre-packed fresh fruit and vegetable bags available for £2.50, alongside some individually priced larger items and multi-packs.

🌿 Wellbeing Café at Duston Community Centre 🌿

For a number of years, Duston & Upton Parish - CofE Churches at St Francis' Church has kindly run the Wellbeing Café for the local community, creating a warm and welcoming space for people to relax, chat and connect with others.

We would like to thank St Francis' Church for all they have done, and we are pleased to be taking the Wellbeing Café on to help ensure it can continue for the Duston community. 💛

The café will be starting again from next week, and everyone is very welcome to come along.

Free to attend, all ages welcome, with refreshments available too.

We are thrilled to share that this year’s Duston Fun Day will include an Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast, weather permitting, flying over at 12:39.

They are one of our lovely long-standing community hirers and meet every month at Duston Community Centre. They have also recently launched their page, so please do give them a follow and show your support. 💛

Cotswold Duston WI is a friendly group who invite speakers and also hold social evenings. If you have ever thought about coming along, your first meeting is free!

As part of Duston Together, we’ll be hosting a special Summer Social edition of our Wellbeing Café — a lovely chance to come along, relax, chat and connect with others in a warm and welcoming space.

There will be crafts, puzzles, games, refreshments and plenty of opportunity to unwind, whether you would like to join in with activities or simply enjoy a quiet corner and some friendly company.

The Wellbeing Café also runs as a regular weekly session at Duston Community Centre, offering a free and welcoming space for all ages.
