We’re celebrating an amazing milestone for LA, one of our Mansfield Supported Housing residents. 🌟

After moving into YMCA supported housing earlier this year, LA worked tirelessly to rebuild her confidence, stay focused on her studies and continue pursuing her dream of becoming a Social Worker.

From the very beginning, she showed real commitment to her education - travelling regularly from Mansfield to Nottingham College to complete her Access Course and stay on track with her long‑term goals.

Her determination has paid off with offers from four universities and she’s now accepted her place at Nottingham Trent University for September 2026!

A huge well done to LA, and a special thank you to her Tenancy Sustainment Worker, Donna, whose support helped her stay focused and believe in herself.

Everyone at YMCA Robin Hood Group is so proud of her - her future looks bright ⭐

Our Nottingham camp has been awarded a “Strong standard” across all areas in its latest Ofsted inspection!

Inspectors shared that “staff create a safe and inclusive environment” and that “children flourish at camp and build enriching, secure relationships with staff.” We couldn’t be prouder of our team for the passion and dedication they bring every day.

From helping children try new activities to adapting sessions so every child can take part, the team’s impact shines through.⭐️

Street Pastors are looking for caring, compassionate volunteers to join their team and make a real difference in the city centre every weekend.

Whether it’s offering a listening ear, helping someone get home safely, providing practical support, or working alongside emergency services, Street Pastors are there for people when they need it most. Every shift is an opportunity to show kindness, care and support without judgement.

Based at the Malt Cross, you'll be part of a respected volunteer team that receives ongoing training, support and opportunities to connect with fellow volunteers. We ask for a commitment of just one shift per month.

To join, you’ll need to be over 18, a practising Christian, and able to provide a reference from your church leader.

A huge congratulations to our amazing White City team! 🎉

We’re delighted to share that White City, one of our Residential Therapeutic Care homes, has been awarded a "Good" rating in all areas following its recent Ofsted inspection.

This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion, and hard work of every member of the team, led by Registered Manager Elaine, who has made incredible progress in a short space of time.

During the two-day inspection, inspectors praised the positive impact the team has on the lives of the young people they support, and we couldn't be prouder.

A special well done to everyone involved – your commitment to providing safe, nurturing, and therapeutic care continues to make a real difference every day. 💙

Last month, we were delighted to welcome colleagues from YMCA Germany (CVJM Deutschland) to the YMCA Community & Activity Village in Newark as part of their visit to the UK.🇩🇪

During their time with us, we shared a tour of the Village and showcased the facilities, programmes and partnerships that help make our vision a reality.

It was a great opportunity to highlight our commitment to creating positive opportunities for young people and the wider community.

The Village is more than just a building – it’s a space where people can connect, grow and thrive, helping to build confidence, aspiration and opportunity across our community.
