It's Clean Air Day today! Breathing in polluted air emitted from cars and other sources seriously damages health - contributing to cancers, dementia, heart disease, strokes and more.

Here are some ways you can help make a difference to our air today, tomorrow and every day.

🫁 Walk, cycle or scoot to school and cut harmful pollution at school drop-off.
🫁 Take advantage of Nottingham's amazing public transport, including Nottingham City Transport's electric or biogas buses or NET Nottingham Tram electric trams rather than driving.
🫁 If you need to drive, ALWAYS turn off your engine when waiting, especially if you have children in the car. People inside a car breathe in more harmful air pollution than walkers or cyclists, so always switch off when possible.

🚌 Good public transport networks connect us to the people we love, the things we need and the places that matter whilst helping to clean up our air and tackle climate change.

Did you know that one full bus can remove up to 75 cars from our roads?
