We want to hear from tenants about how you want to see your rent money invested in homes and housing services.

It’s very important that we understand what matters most to tenants when it comes to spending money on housing services, new homes, repairs, your neighbourhoods and housing improvements. A consultation has now been launched so you can give us your views.

People can take part on the Council’s Consultation Hub - consult.pkc.gov.uk/communities/spending-to-improve-housing-services/

If you receive a paper copy of On The House magazine through the post we will include a consultation form. You can complete the form and return it to us in the envelope provided.

Everyone who takes part has the chance to win one of four £50 shopping vouchers.

Feedback on the results will be provided at the Summer Tenant Conference event for tenants on Thursday June 25, where people will have the chance to ask Housing Managers questions on spending priorities.

Your comments, suggestions and ideas will allow us to develop some rent level options for next year to deliver on your priorities, and tenants will vote on these options later this year.

Please take a few minutes to tell us what you want to see your rent money spent on.

The consultation is open until Monday 8 June.

We are changing the format of our usual Tenant Conference. This year we are holding a drop-in event for tenants on Thursday 25 June 2026.

You can come along to the event at the Salvation Army, 77 South Street, Perth, at any time between 10am and 12pm to speak to staff about your housing, neighbourhood and a range of other services.

Please take this chance to tell us what's working well for you, and what could be better.

You can meet staff from the following teams for a chat:

- Capital Improvements and New Builds
- Community Support and Enforcement
- Housing Options
- Locality Housing Teams
- Repairs
- Tenant and Resident Participation
- Waste Services
- Welfare Rights

You can also get some feedback on the results of the recent consultation we carried out with tenants on Spending your Rent Money to Improve Housing Services.

Don't forget, you can drop-in at any time between 10am and 12pm to speak to us.

We hope to see you there!

If you have an issue with condensation dampness or mould in your home you can ask for a free sensor that can help tackle the problem.

The small sensors are connected to an external wi-fi service and can help identify:

• When mould and damp might start to be a problem in your home
• When ventilation in your home can be improved
• When air quality could be improved
• If you are using your heating efficiently.

You can use a free smartphone app to monitor your home. Issues will be flagged up by the system and the Council will be on hand to help solve any problems.

Many household mould issues are caused by a build-up of condensation, poor ventilation and heating, and we can look at ways these can be improved for you.

The sensors only take minutes to install and can help to improve the health of you and your family.
If you’re interested in a free install then please call us on 01738 475000.
