💛🦆DUCK UPDATE! 🦆💛

We couldn't leave our little duck friend on their own any longer, so last week we got them a buddy! We still have no idea if either of them is a boy or a girl yet, so name suggestions are very welcome 👀👇

One thing we do know: they've completely bonded already and are basically inseparable. They follow each other everywhere, hang out together all day, and honestly seem obsessed with each other!

💙 Learning Disability Week – 15 June 💙

Learning disabilities affect how people learn and process information, but they do not define potential. This week is about raising awareness, celebrating strengths, and creating a more inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

At NXT we believe every young person deserves access to learning that works for them, building confidence, skills, and positive pathways for the future. 🌟

🎨🌿 Last week, our young people headed to the amazing Art in the Garden event at Little Forest Land Art — a two-week exhibition showcasing the incredible work of local artists! 🖼️✨

A special shoutout to Mark from Team NXT, who had some of his own artwork featured in the exhibition too! 🙌🎉

Even though the rain tried to dampen the day 🌧️, it didn’t stop the fun! Our young people enjoyed exploring the artwork and sculptures, getting inspired by the creativity around them, and even putting their own photography skills to the test 📸💚.

🦆💛 Meet the newest member of the NXT family! 💛🦆

This little duckling has had quite the journey already. After being found abandoned in a chicken coop, he was taken in by the amazing team at Brune Park. When they realised they couldn't fully meet his needs, they reached out to us—and of course we couldn't say no! 🥹

Since arriving at NXT, he's been settling in brilliantly and has already become a firm favourite with both staff and young people. Safe, happy, and surrounded by lots of love, this little guy is definitely making himself at home. 🏡✨

🌟 May Round-Up! 🌟

What a month it's been! Our young people have had a jam-packed May, getting involved in a wide range of exciting sessions including catering, beauty, arts & crafts, photography, workshops, and so much more. 🎨📸🍴✨

It's been fantastic to see everyone learning new skills, building confidence, making friends, and creating plenty of memories along the way.

We can't wait for the summer term to begin and bring even more fun, opportunities, and unforgettable moments! ☀️💛 Here's to another amazing term ahead! 🙌

⚔️ Dungeons & Dragons has taken over NXT! 🐉✨

This week, some of our young people stepped into a world of epic adventures, daring quests, and plenty of laughter!

Although D&D isn’t one of our usual sessions, it’s been amazing to see everyone so engaged — teaming up, joking together, and letting their imaginations run wild. 💫

From rolling dice to battling dragons, the room has been full of smiles, creativity, and teamwork… and we’ve absolutely loved every minute of it! 🛡️🔥

🐥✨ The chicks have officially flown the nest! ✨🐥

After becoming part of the NXT family, it was time to say goodbye as they headed off with Matt & Katie to their brand new outdoor home 🏡🌿

Watching them grow bigger every day has been so much fun, and both staff and young people absolutely loved having them around 💛 They’ve now outgrown their brood box and are LOVING life outdoors! Of course under the watchful eye of Malin Pup! ☀️🐓

We’re going to miss our fluffy little friends… but we cannot wait to do this experience again! 🐣💫
