With much sadness to report that Reg Walker, ex Radio Officer, Crossed the Bar on Friday 29 May

There is to be a private cremation on 15th June. Tina, his wife, has advised that if people wish to send a donation, via the funeral director, which will be passed onto The North West Air Ambulance and the RNLI.

It is with regret to report that Chief Officer (SE) David Barker (retired) Crossed the Bar on Sunday 15th March 2026. The funeral will be held at Weston-Super-Mare crematorium (BS22 9NY) at 12:30 on Thursday 9th April. Friends and ex colleagues are welcome to attend.

It is with sadness to report that John Cant (Captain RFA retd) has Crossed the Bar on Sunday 8 February 2026 at the age of 93.

By John's family:

Independent as ever, Dad had been well until a matter of hours before he passed away. He had a fall, alone at home, and was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he received the best possible care. My younger daughter Jennie and I were by his side when his condition suddenly deteriorated and sadly he just slipped away.

As a family, we take comfort in knowing that he lived a full and wonderful life. He leaves two children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with whom he had such fun in later years. Memories of his former friends, colleagues and his career in the RFA were never too far from his mind.

Dad’s funeral service will take place at Stirlingshire Crematorium on Tuesday, 24 February 2026 at 12 noon, to which all friends and family are invited. Family flowers only please, although donations, if desired, can be made in his memory to Dunblane Cathedral and The Dunblane Centre.

The funeral will be live-streamed for those unable to attend and available to view afterwards for a couple of weeks.

It is with sadness to report that retired Engineer Officer David Robert Meiklejohn Crossed the Bar on 4th February 2026.

Funeral Service will be on 24th Feb at 1030 in Dalnotter Crematorium Clydebank near Glasgow G81 4SL A live stream will be available

It is with sadness to report that Scott Tait Crossed the Bar on the 7th December. His service will take place at 1215 at Denholm Church Hawick in the Scottish Borders on the 6th January 26 followed by an internment in the adjacent graveyard. Donations are welcome to Cancer Research UK. Tam Adam is hoping to attend the service and will represent us.
