85 წლის წინ, 14 ივნისს, ესტონეთში ათასობით ოჯახი მასობრივი დეპორტაციის მსხვერპლი გახდა!

როდესაც პატივს მივაგებთ ამ დანაშაულების მსხვერპლებს, უნდა გვახსოვდეს, რომ რუსეთი დღესაც იყენებს იმავე მეთოდებს- უკრაინაში ბავშვების დეპორტაციას, მშვიდობიანი მოსახლეობის ტერორს და უკრაინული იდენტობის წაშლას.

ისტორია გვასწავლის, რომ დაუსჯელობა კიდევ უფრო მეტ აგრესიას იწვევს.

🥰It was delightful to host the children from Roddy Scott Foundation in Pankisi Valley, who has been the embassy's friend since 2010.
🔎The children participated in cultural activities in Tbilisi,
They also visited Estonian Embassy, where they had an opportunity to learn more about Estonia through educational video and a quiz where they were rewarded with symbolic prizes.
🤝The young visitors also met and interacted with Estonian diplomats.

Marked with the traditional flag-raising ceremony at P**k Hermann Tower, the day honours a symbol that ties together our past, present and future.

ევროკავშირის წარმომადგენლობის და წევრი ქვეყნების საელჩოების ერთობლივი ადგილობრივი განცხადება:

“ევროკავშირი და მისი წევრი ქვეყნები გულითადად ულოცავენ საქართველოს დამოუკიდებლობის დღეს!

საქართველომ დამოუკიდებლობა 1918 წლის 26 მაისს გამოაცხადა, რითაც დაადასტურა სუვერენული და დემოკრატიული სახელმწიფოებრიობის შესახებ საკუთარი ხედვა. დამოუკიდებლობის შესახებ დეკლარაციის სულისკვეთება დღეს საქართველოს საზოგადოებაში ღრმა გამოძახილს ჰპოვებს. საქართველოს ისტორიაში ვხედავთ ევროპასთან უფრო მჭიდრო კავშირებისკენ მუდმივ სწრაფვას. ბოლო სამი ათწლეულის განმავლობაში, ევროკავშირი და მისი წევრი სახელმწიფოები გვერდში უდგანან საქართველოს და საიმედო, გრძელვადიან პარტნიორებად რჩებიან. პროგრესი დემოკრატიული რეფორმების, კანონის უზენაესობისა და ფუნდამენტური თავისუფლებების დაცვის მიმართულებით კვლავაც არსებითია ევროპულ გზაზე წინსვლისთვის.

ამ მნიშვნელოვან დღეს, კვლავ ვადასტურებთ ევროკავშირის ურყევ მხარდაჭერას საქართველოს დამოუკიდებლობის, სუვერენიტეტისა და ტერიტორიული მთლიანობის მიმართ მის საერთაშორისოდ აღიარებულ საზღვრებში.”

“The European Union and its Member States extend their sincere congratulations to Georgia on its Independence Day!

On 26 May 1918, Georgia declared independence and affirmed its vision for a sovereign and democratic statehood. Today, the spirit of the independence declaration deeply resonates within Georgian society. Georgia’s history has demonstrated enduring aspiration for stronger ties with Europe. Over the past three decades, the European Union and its Member States have stood alongside Georgia, and remain a reliable, long-term partner. Progress on democratic reforms, the rule of law, and the protection of fundamental freedoms remain essential for advancing on the European path.

On this important day, we reaffirm the EU’s steadfast support for Georgia’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.”

Her merit for translating Georgian epic poem ,,The Knight in the Panther's Skin'' into Estonian language, will always be truly admirable.
