CG & Mrs Eric Teo were pleased to attend their first Singapore International School - Hong Kong's annual Thank You Teachers Dinner organised recently by its Parent-Teachers Association.👩🏻‍🏫

In his remarks, CG Teo spoke about the close collaboration with the SISHK including during PM Lawrence Wong's Official Visit to Hong Kong in March 2026. CG thanked the SISHK for flying the flag in continuing to foster educational excellence while strengthening cultural and people‑to‑people ties.

CG Teo also expressed his deep appreciation to all the teachers for their deep and personal commitment in inspiring and guiding their students.

Tomorrow - 19 June 2026 which marks the 5th day of May in the Lunar Calendar - is the Dragon Boat Festival, celebrated widely by ethnic Chinese communities in both Singapore and Hong Kong. Besides the iconic dragon boat races, our Singapore and Hong Kong friends celebrate the Festival by enjoying different kinds of traditional glutinous rice dumplings, or zongzi (粽子). 🐉🎋

In Singapore, favourites include the savoury Hokkien/Fujian‑style dumpling filled with pork belly, chestnut, and salted egg yolk, as well as the colourful Nyonya (娘惹) dumpling, tinted blue with butterfly‑pea flower and filled with a sweet‑savory mix of minced pork and winter melon. These flavours reflect Singapore’s rich Peranakan heritage and love for bold, aromatic spices. 🍃

Over in Hong Kong, most households enjoy the classic Cantonese/Guangdong‑style dumpling, featuring mung beans, pork belly, and salted egg yolk wrapped in fragrant bamboo leaves, as well as the Shanghai‑style dumpling, long and soy‑braised with a beautifully sticky texture without mung beans. 🥢

Both cities share a deep cultural appreciation for the Dragon Boat Festival traditions - a reminder of the strong cultural links that continue to connect Hong Kong and Singapore. 🇸🇬🤝🇭🇰

明天2026年6月19日，亦即農曆五月初五，就係端午節啦！新加坡同香港嘅華人社群都普遍慶祝端午節。除咗家傳戶曉嘅龍舟競渡之外，新加坡同香港嘅朋友都會以品嚐各式各樣嘅傳統粽嚟應節。🐉🎋

在新加坡，深受歡迎嘅包括鹹香惹味嘅福建粽，內有腩肉、栗子同鹹蛋黃；亦有色彩繽紛嘅娘惹粽，以蝶豆花染成藍色，餡料係甜鹹交融嘅冬瓜絲同豬肉碎。呢啲味道正好反映咗新加坡深厚嘅娘惹文化對濃郁香料嘅喜愛。🍃

至於香港，大部分家庭都鍾意經典嘅廣東粽，用綠豆、腩肉同鹹蛋黃包裹喺香竹葉之中；亦有長身、以豉油慢煮、口感黏糯而不加綠豆嘅上海粽。🥢

兩地雖然各有特色，但同樣珍視端午節嘅傳統文化。呢一點正好提醒我哋，新加坡同香港一直以深厚嘅文化連繫緊緊相扣。🇸🇬🤝🇭🇰

Consul Leonard Sim attended and congratulated the Hong Kong Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (私隱公署 PCPD) on their 30th Anniversary at the Privacy Protection Summit on 16 June 2026. The event was officiated by Secretary for Justice Paul Lam, Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Ada Chung, and other senior officials. Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) Commissioner Denise Wong also joined the summit and spoke on a panel discussing “The Next Chapter in Protecting Privacy in the Age of AI”. 🛡️🤖

Consul Sim also congratulated the Hong Kong PCPD and Singapore PDPC on successfully renewing their Memorandum of Understanding on the sidelines of the Summit. The updated MOU strengthens the framework for cooperation between both authorities as they work together to address emerging privacy and data governance challenges in the age of AI. 📄🔐🤝

沈俊捷領事於2026年6月16日出席香港個人資料私隱專員公署舉辦嘅保障私隱峰會，並誌慶公署成立30周年。峰會由香港律政司司長林定國、私隱專員鍾麗玲及多名高層官員擔任主禮嘉賓。新加坡個人資料保護委員會專員黃慧雯亦有出席，並在以「全球私隱保障在AI時代的未來藍圖」為題嘅討論環節上發言。🛡️🤖

沈領事亦向香港私隱專員公署與新加坡個人資料保護委員會於峰會期間成功續簽合作備忘錄致以祝賀。更新後嘅備忘錄進一步鞏固兩地監管機構之間嘅合作框架，協助雙方在AI時代共同應對新興嘅私隱及數據管治挑戰。📄🔐🤝

CG Eric Teo had an introductory meeting with 醫院管理局 Hospital Authority Chairman Henry Fan and Chief Executive Dr Libby Lee recently. They had a good discussion on our two cities tackling similar challenges in public healthcare, such as low fertility, ageing population and manpower shortage, as well as deepening collaboration and mutual learning between both sides.👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️ Both sides have had a long history of collaboration, including during the Covid-19 pandemic.🦠 We look forward to closer engagements and exchanges in the healthcare sector. 🏥🤝🏻

張文喜總領事最近向醫院管理局主席范鴻齡及行政總裁李夏茵醫生作到任拜會。大家討論咗新加坡同香港共同面對嘅公共醫務衛生挑戰，例如低出生率、人口老化及人手短缺，以及點樣加深合作及相互學習。👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️雙方有歷史悠久嘅合作關係，包括對抗新冠疫情。🦠我哋期待更多公共衛生領域嘅交流及更緊密聯繫。🏥🤝🏻

Consul Leonard Sim was delighted to attend and support Singaporean theatre company How Drama's 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭 ’s overseas debut at WestK Performing Arts 西九演藝's inaugural Cabaret Festival. 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭 is an immersive interactive theatre experience following the story of Ruby, played by Singaporean Actress Ross Nasir, who returns to the dating scene and gradually learns of self-love and self-care.

On behalf of the Singapore Consulate-General, Leonard congratulated them on their successful opening night and thanked them for bringing a piece of Singapore to Hong Kong through their performance. We look forward to seeing more Singapore productions featured in Hong Kong! 🎭🎞️

沈俊捷領事好高興出席並支持新加坡劇團 How Drama 嘅原創作品《大碼女孩脫單手冊》於西九演藝首屆卡巴萊節嘅海外首演。《大碼女孩脫單手冊》係一個沉浸式互動劇場體驗，講述由新加坡女演員 Ross Nasir 飾演嘅 Ruby，重返情場後，慢慢學會自愛同自我關懷嘅故事。

Leonard 代表新加坡駐港總領事館恭賀佢哋首演成功，並多謝佢哋透過今次演出將新加坡文化帶到香港。我哋期待將來有更多新加坡作品喺香港上演！🎭🎞️

CG Eric Teo was pleased to visit the South China Morning Post newsroom in Hong Kong recently & had a good discussion with SCMP Publisher Tammy Tam and her team on Singapore-Hong Kong relations and regional & global developments.

CG was also given a tour of SCMP's premises and learnt about the history of the Post and its media outlet operations. SCMP has a wide readership across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and globally. 🗞️🌏

CG Eric Teo recently joined a delegation of around 70 diplomats and business leaders on a visit to the Northern Metropolis organised by the Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation to gain deeper insights into the megaproject. 👀

CG Eric Teo made a productive visit to Macao last week, where he attended a Promotion Seminar, Cocktail Reception and Dinner Banquet hosted for Consuls General accredited to Macao by HE Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai. Through the various briefings and engagements, the Consular Corps was updated on the latest plans for Macao. 🇸🇬🇲🇴

CG Eric also called on Ms Bian Lixin, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Macao, and Macao Health Bureau Director Dr Lo Iek‑long to exchange views on strengthening Singapore-Macao cooperation under the "One Country, Two Systems".

CG Eric also met SJM Holdings Co-Chairman & Executive Director Timothy Fok over lunch to better understand the business sector in Macao as well as the city’s latest economic policies, such as its economic diversification efforts.

During the visit, CG Eric also caught up with a group of Singaporeans over afternoon tea, hearing their experiences and perspectives living in Macao.

Capping off a hectic but fruitful trip, CG joined fellow ASEAN and EU Consuls‑General at their regular lunch gathering, with Macao Secretary for Administration and Justice Wong Sio Chak as the Guest-of-Honour to find out the latest developments and opportunities in Macao.🌎🗺️

總領事亦先後拜會中國外交部駐澳門特派員卞立新，以及澳門衛生局局長羅奕龍，就在「一國兩制」框架下加強新加坡澳門之間嘅合作交換意見。

此外，總領事與澳博控股聯席主席兼執行董事霍震霆共進午餐，了解澳門商界情況及特區政府最新經濟政策，包括經濟適度多元化方向。

訪澳期間，總領事亦與一群在澳新加坡人茶敘，聽取佢哋在澳生活嘅經驗同看法。

行程緊湊而成果豐碩，總領事最後與東盟及歐盟駐澳總領事出席定期午餐會，由澳門行政法務司司長黃少澤擔任主禮嘉賓，了解澳門最新發展同合作機遇。🌎🗺️

CG Eric Teo continued his series of introductory meetings as he met Hong Kong Legislative Council (Legco) President Starry Lee. President Lee was joined by Parliamentary Liaison Subcommittee Chairperson Prof. Priscilla Leung. 🤝

CG Teo and President Lee had a fruitful discussion on the close Hong Kong-Singapore relations, and reaffirmed the strong ties and regular exchanges between both legislatures.🇭🇰🤝🇸🇬
