Europe Day was celebrated yesterday evening in Jakarta with a lively and memorable reception.

We were honoured by the presence of Guest-of-Honour Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, H.E. Pratikno, alongside Minister for Development Planning H.E. Rachmat Pambudy, Minister for Cooperatives H.E. Ferry Juliantono, and Minister for State Apparatus Utilisation H.E. Rini Widyantini.

The evening was also attended by Vice Ministers for Human Rights, Trade, Culture, Development Planning, Migrant Workers Protection, Investment and Downstreaming, Population and Family Development, and Industry, as well as the Speaker of the House of Regional Representatives, Honourable Members of Parliament from DPR Commissions I, III, VI, X, XII, BKSAP, and GKSB DPR RI–UE, the ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General for Community and Corporate Affairs, the AIPA Secretary-General, EU Member States Ambassadors, and many other distinguished guests and friends.

Europe Day celebrates the 1950 Schuman Declaration — the vision that laid the foundation for a united Europe built on peace, freedom, equality, and democracy.

Today, Europe Day is not only a celebration of shared values, but also of what we do together with Member States and partners worldwide in building a fairer, safer, and more sustainable world.
