কলকাতার একাধিক ডান্স বারে অবৈধ যৌন ব্যবসা, মাদক পাচার এবং সংঘবদ্ধ চাঁদাবাজির এক গভীর উদ্বেগজনক চক্র সক্রিয় রয়েছে বলে অভিযোগ উঠেছে। অভিযোগ অনুযায়ী, এই সমস্ত প্রতিষ্ঠান আইনসিদ্ধ সময়সীমা ও কার্যপরিধির বহু বাইরে পরিচালিত হচ্ছে এবং এর পেছনে রাজনৈতিক মদত ও প্রশাসনিক নিষ্ক্রিয়তা কাজ করছে বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে।

বিশ্বস্ত সূত্রের দাবি, এই সমস্ত প্রতিষ্ঠানে আগত ব্যক্তিদের উপর গোপনে নজরদারি চালানো হয়। বারের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ব্যক্তিদের মাধ্যমে অনুমতি ছাড়াই ছবি তোলা, তথ্য সংগ্রহ এবং প্রোফাইলিংয়ের অভিযোগও উঠেছে। পরবর্তীতে অজ্ঞাত বা ট্রেস করা যায় না এমন নম্বর থেকে ফোন করে অর্থ আদায়ের চেষ্টা করা হয় বলে অভিযোগ, যেখানে জনসমক্ষে প্রকাশ, ভয় প্রদর্শন কিংবা মিথ্যা ফৌজদারি মামলায় জড়িয়ে দেওয়ার হুমকি দেওয়া হয়।

এই উদীয়মান চক্রটি এক সুসংগঠিত “মডেল” ভিত্তিক চাঁদাবাজি পদ্ধতির সঙ্গে সাদৃশ্যপূর্ণ, যেখানে নজরদারি, আপস করানো, ভয় প্রদর্শন এবং রাজনৈতিক সুরক্ষা সমন্বিতভাবে পরিচালিত হয় বলে অভিযোগ। একই সঙ্গে, এই গভীর রাত পর্যন্ত চলা প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলিতে কোকেনসহ অন্যান্য মাদকদ্রব্যের অবাধ লেনদেনের অভিযোগও সামনে এসেছে।

ভিডিওটি ১৯৯, শরৎ বোস রোডে অবস্থিত একটি ভবনের শীর্ষতলায় পরিচালিত এক ডান্স বারের দৃশ্য বলে দাবি করা হয়েছে, যেখানে একই ভবনে ক্যানারা ব্যাঙ্ক অবস্থিত। অভিযোগ অনুযায়ী, ওই ভবনে পরিচালিত তিনটি বারের আড়ালে অবৈধ দেহব্যবসা ও মাদক লেনদেন সংঘটিত হয় বলে বিশ্বস্ত সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে।

স্থানীয় মহল ও বিভিন্ন সূত্রে যে নামটি বারবার উঠে আসছে, তা হল অলোক চক্রবর্তী। অভিযোগ রয়েছে যে তিনি কথিত এই অবৈধ কার্যকলাপগুলির সঙ্গে প্রত্যক্ষ বা পরোক্ষভাবে যুক্ত থাকতে পারেন। তবে বিষয়টি সম্পূর্ণরূপে তদন্তসাপেক্ষ এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট আইনপ্রয়োগকারী সংস্থার স্বাধীন যাচাই ব্যতীত- অভিযোগ অনুযায়ী, তিনি এই ধরনের অবৈধ কার্যকলাপের সঙ্গে যুক্ত এবং রাজা বসন্ত রায় রোডের “ভাঙা বাড়ি” এলাকার বাসিন্দা, যার ঠিকানা কলকাতা – ৭০০০২৯ এবং যা টালিগঞ্জ থানার অন্তর্গত। অভিযোগ রয়েছে যে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে অদৃশ্য রাজনৈতিক পৃষ্ঠপোষকতা এই নেটওয়ার্ককে কার্যত সুরক্ষা দিয়ে এসেছে। তবে এখন সময় এসেছে এই অবৈধ আন্ডারওয়ার্ল্ড কার্যকলাপের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর ও নিরপেক্ষ তদন্ত শুরু করার।

According to reliable sources, persons visiting these establishments are allegedly subjected to covert surveillance, including unauthorised photography and profiling by individuals associated with the bars. Subsequently, victims are reportedly contacted through anonymous or untraceable numbers and subjected to demands for money, accompanied by threats of public exposure, intimidation, or false criminal implication. This emerging pattern bears resemblance to a structured “Model” of extortion, wherein surveillance, compromise, intimidation, and political protection allegedly operate in a coordinated manner. Serious allegations have also been raised concerning the circulation of co***ne and other narcotic substances within these late-night establishments.
