Amid global uncertainties and the evolving West Asia situation, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call to save fuel and adopt Electric Vehicles reflects India’s commitment towards energy security, reduced dependence on fossil fuels, lower oil import bills and a sustainable future for all.

The PM E-DRIVE Scheme is playing a transformative role in accelerating India’s transition towards a clean, sustainable and resilient mobility ecosystem. As on 25.05.2026, the scheme has enabled fuel savings of 27.81 lakh litres per day, with cumulative fuel savings reaching 104.68 crore litres. It has also contributed to a reduction of 33.25 lakh kg of CO₂ emissions per day, while cumulative CO₂ reduction has reached 121.91 crore kg.

At a time of evolving global energy dynamics and supply chain disruptions, the scheme is strengthening national energy security, reducing reliance on conventional fuels and promoting clean mobility across the country. Aligned with the vision of Net Zero by 2070, PM E-DRIVE reinforces India’s commitment towards sustainable growth, green mobility and a cleaner, greener future.
