National Health Mission, Kamrup Metro

The two-days long National Assessment for NQAS was successfully completed today at Ulubari UPHC-AAM under East Zone, Kamrup Metro district.

The assessment was carried out by Dr. KH Gopeshwar Singh and Dr. Ashutosh Kumar. During the assessment, various healthcare service delivery standards, patient care practices, infrastructure, documentation, and quality assurance protocols of the health facility were reviewed as per National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) guidelines. Officials from the DPMU NHM and staff members of the facility were present throughout the assessment process.

The District Health Society review meeting was convened today at conference Hall of DPMU, NHM, under the chairmanship of Smt. Parijat Bhuyan, ACS, the DDC Kamrup Metro to review ongoing health programmes and departmental activities. The meeting was attended by Dr Narayan Dutta Sarma, the I/C Joint DHS along with other key officials of the District Health Society from District and Block/Zones.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the implementation status of various health initiatives, progress of ongoing programmes and strategies for strengthening healthcare service delivery with special focus on HPV vaccination, 100 days PMTBMBA & ABDM performance.

A review meeting on HPV Vaccination Programme was held today under the chairmanship of Smt Parijat Bhuyan, ACS, the District Development Commissioner Kamrup Metro. The meeting witnessed the participation of the Assistant Commissioner, key officials from the Health Department along with all CRCCs from Education Department.

The progress of the ongoing vaccination drive, field-level coordination and strategies to enhance coverage were discussed in detail to ensure successful implementation of the programme.

Dr. Mukuta Medhi, the DNO(Routine Immunization) visited Ganesh Mandir Higher Secondary School, Ulubari Higher Secondary School & St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School today and interacted with the Principals and Ward Councillor regarding measures to improve daily turnout under the ongoing HPV vaccination programme in district.

Smt Pratima Kishore, External Consultant, CP-CPHC and Dr. Dhanashree Manjrekar, Fellow, CP-CPHC,NHSRC visited Tetelia Ayushman Arogya Mandir under Kamrup Metropolitan district for assessment and review of Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) services being delivered at the facility. They reviewed service delivery, implementation of public health initiatives, and operational aspects of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir in line with strengthening comprehensive primary healthcare services in the district.

Dr. Rahul Sharma, SPO, NCD, Assam, Dr. Gunjan Nath, Consultant-WHO, Dr. Biraj Shome,Consultant-WHO,SCM, NHM, Assam, officials from Regional Resource Centre for North Eastern States (RRC-NE), DPC-NCD, DCM & BCM, Sonapur BPHC have accompanied the team during their visit.
